Leyritz Gets Probation and Fine

The former Yankee Jim Leyritz, 47, was given a year of probation and fined $500 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for a drunken driving conviction resulting from a 2007 crash in which a 30-year-old woman died. He was acquitted last month of drunken-driving manslaughter and settled a wrongful-death suit filed by the woman’s family for $350,000. (AP)
